The map listing and reviews
Someone searching for brows or lip blush near them sees pictures, hours and ratings first. A complete listing and a steady trickle of recent reviews keep you in that comparison.

Get results in days, not monthsResults in days, not monthsPermanent makeup is a trade of consultations, deposits and healed results that clients show to their friends. Permanent makeup lead generation therefore works best when it is planned in phases: first the foundation, then the channels, then a review of what filled the chair. This page lays out lead generation for permanent makeup artists as a 90-day plan you can hold a partner to.
GetPhound builds and runs these channels, which you own: the map listing, service pages, ads, review flow and inquiry tracking. We do not sell or broker leads.
The calendar
Audit the Google Business Profile and fix categories, hours, services and photos. Decide how people book: an online scheduler, a text number or an inquiry form. Install call and form tracking. Write down your consultation, patch test and deposit steps so that every page and every reply says the same thing. Collect the consent forms and photo permissions you will need for any gallery.
Publish a page for each service you want to be known for, such as powder brows, microblading, lip blush or eyeliner, with an honest explanation of the process, healing and touch-up visit. Start review requests with recent clients. Launch a small ad test only after the booking path has been tested end to end.
Read the first real inquiries together. Which service pages bring consultations? Which ad groups bring requests that never book? Adjust service pages, offers and replies. Add retargeting for visitors who viewed a page but did not book, if the platform allows your content.
Review cost per consultation booked and cost per completed session, not only inquiries. Keep what worked, drop what did not and write the next quarter's plan.
Who does what
| Area | What the agency sets up | What you provide |
|---|---|---|
| Google Business Profile | Audit, categories, service list, photo plan, post schedule and review link | Real photos of your space and healed work, with client consent |
| Service pages | Page structure, search research for each service, writing, on-page setup | Your actual process, aftercare, pricing approach and who a service is not suited for |
| Booking and inquiry path | Tracked phone number, form, links to your scheduler and confirmation messages | A working scheduler or text number and a person who replies |
| Reviews | Request text and link, monitoring and a response format | The habit of asking after the healed result, and replies in your voice |
| Paid search and Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) | Account setup, campaigns by service, tracking, monthly changes | Approved creative, offers and a check of the current platform policy for cosmetic procedures |
| Reporting | A monthly report with source, consultations booked and sessions completed | Marking each inquiry as booked, completed or lost in your log |
Before anything goes live
Permanent makeup sits between beauty and body art, and the rules vary. Artist licensing, facility permits, health and sanitation requirements, age limits and what must appear in client records are set by the state, county or city where you work. We do not interpret them. Check your state and local requirements, and keep your own paperwork current.
Advertising platforms apply their own rules too. Ad networks and social platforms set policies for cosmetic procedures, body-related claims and before-and-after photos, and those policies change, so read the current text for each platform before you build creative, and expect an occasional ad to be flagged for review. A program never promises a result for a client's skin or features. It describes the process and shows work that clients agreed to share.
It also helps to define a qualified inquiry before launch. For most artists it is someone in a reachable area who is asking about a service you perform, has looked at your work, can describe or photograph what they have now and understands that a consultation comes before a session. Inquiries that fail those tests are not worthless, but they should be tagged in the log so you can see which source sends them.
The intake form deserves special care. Health history, allergies, skin conditions, medications and pregnancy status belong in your consultation and consent process, not in an open website form that anyone can see on a shared screen. The inquiry form should collect a name, a contact method and the service of interest, and leave the health questions for later.
Channels that fit this trade
Where most local searches end
Someone searching for brows or lip blush near them sees pictures, hours and ratings first. A complete listing and a steady trickle of recent reviews keep you in that comparison.
Where decisions are made
Pages that explain the consultation, the session, healing and touch-up in plain words build confidence and filter out people who would never be a fit.
Fast, but only after tracking works
Searches for a specific service plus a city show a person ready to book. Keep campaigns narrow and watch the consultation rate.
Strong for visual proof
Healed work, studio tours and short explainers suit the platform, within current policy for cosmetic content. Retarget people who visited your service pages.
Quiet but loyal
Hairstylists, estheticians, bridal salons, dermatology offices and other beauty professionals who trust your work send steady clients. A tracked card or code shows which relationships are worth tending.
An early source
People now ask assistants who does a certain service in their town. Consistent business details and clear pages help, but nobody can promise a mention.
Pricing
Common questions
Paid ads and a finished map listing can produce inquiries in the first weeks, while service pages and reviews usually take longer to show. We do not promise a number of bookings or a date. The 90-day review tells you what is working in your market.
Plans are billed monthly: $495 for RankGuarantee™ local pages, $1,495 to $3,495 for Organic Growth, and $895, $1,595 or $2,295 for ad management across one, two or three platforms. Ad spend is extra. There is no contract and no setup fee.
Healed results are the strongest proof in this trade, but they require client consent and may run into platform rules for cosmetic content. Read current policies for the platform in question, and prefer healed results over fresh ones.
Many artists find a deposit reduces no-shows and keeps the calendar honest. How you handle consultations and deposits is your business decision. Whatever you choose, state it on the booking page before the visitor commits.
A booking app handles scheduling, but a website explains your process, collects reviews and appears in searches. Many artists use both, with the scheduler linked from the pages.
Say so on the service pages, and offer a polite redirect in your replies. It saves everyone time and protects your reviews.
Wait until the healed result, which is the moment people feel proud of the outcome and the moment a review carries the most weight. Add a reminder to your touch-up visit and send the review link after it. Reviews should be in the client's own words, never edited or incentivized in ways platform rules forbid.
It shows whether your ads and pages attract the right people and whether your consultation process closes. A low rate with plenty of consultations points to the process or price, not to visibility.
